Karachi United continues to proudly make its mark on Pakistan football as three of our players, Tufail, Mohib, and Furqan, were called up to the Pakistan U23 National Team camp by Head Coach Nolberto Solano and selected for the travelling squad to Cambodia for the 2026 AFC U23 Asian Cup Qualifiers.
For Karachi United, this milestone reflects the club’s long-standing vision of producing players who can represent Pakistan at the highest level. For the players, it was the culmination of years of hard work, persistence, and sacrifice.

The Road to Cambodia
The Pakistan U23 squad faced a challenging group, with fixtures against Iraq, Cambodia, and Oman. Each match tested the team’s discipline, resilience, and tactical preparation.
• Tufail was one of the standout performers of the campaign, starting in all three matches. His consistency and leadership qualities were recognized when he was named captain for Pakistan’s final group-stage match against Oman. This a proud moment for both, Tufail and Karachi United. Wearing the captain’s armband on the international stage not only highlighted his talent but also his growth as a leader.
• Mohib and Furqan earned two starts during the tournament. They brought energy and dynamism into the side thus reinforcing their reputation as KU’s rising stars.
Carrying Karachi United’s Legacy
For Karachi United, this achievement represents far more than individual recognition. It is a validation of the club’s philosophy of development: nurturing players at the grassroots level, providing them with structured competition, and gradually preparing them for national and international stages.
Over the years, KU has emphasized holistic development such as instilling discipline, leadership, and resilience alongside footballing skills. The stories of Tufail, Mohib, and Furqan embody this philosophy. Each of them began their journey at community and academy levels before rising to the professional setup, and now to the international stage.
Their success demonstrates that opportunities created through structured programs and consistent support can bridge the gap between local talent and the demands of national and international football.

The Bigger Picture
Though results in Cambodia came against strong opposition, the experience gained is invaluable. Competing against established footballing nations like Iraq and Oman gave the squad exposure to higher levels of intensity and tactical discipline. For Karachi United’s trio, these matches served as a stepping stone and a chance to measure themselves against some of Asia’s brightest talents.

The journey of Tufail, Mohib, and Furqan is not just their own but rather it is a story that reflects the aspirations of every young footballer training on the streets and turfs of Karachi.
Karachi United remains committed to its vision of providing a professional pathway for youth across the city and beyond, ensuring that many more players can follow in their footsteps and proudly represent Pakistan on the global stage.
