Categories

The 21st edition of the Karachi United School Championship had five categories.
1) Senior Boys Karachi
2) Senior Boys Lahore
3) Senior Girls
4) Junior Boys
5) Junior Girls

Senior Girls

Seeding

The seeding of the schools/colleges were based on their previous years performance and was as follows –
1) Karachi Grammar School – Defending champions
2) Cedar College DHA
3) SMB Fatima Jinnah
4) Nixor College
5) Generation’s School

Groups

The groups for the senior girls’s category were as follows –

Group A – Nixor College, Aga Khan HSS Karimabad, Sceptre College, The Social Bond
Group B – Cedar College DHA, Aga Khan HSS Garden, Happy Palace Grammar School, Highbrow College
Group C – SMB Fatima Jinnah, SMS Aga Khan – M, The Lyceum, Karachi Public School
Group D – Karachi Grammar School, Alpha College, Bahria College NORE, The CAS
Group E – Generation’s School, SMS Aga Khan – E, Wahaj Hussain Schooling System, Credo College

Group Stages

The group stage matches were held at the Karachi United Stadium. The teams were divided into 5 groups of 4 teams, with the top team from each group and the 3 2nd best teams moving forward into the quarter finals.

Group A

Aga Khan HSS Karimabad were the highlight of the group scoring 11 times, the second highest in the group stages.

Group B

An evenly contested group, where HPGS overcame Cedar College DHA to progress into the next round and became the joint lowest scorers amongst the group toppers.

Group C

SMB Fatima Jinnah were the highlight of the group stages scoring 16 goals without reply.

Group D

The 3-time defending champions, KGS, were off to a great start winning all their group stage matches.

Group E

An evenly contested group, SMS Aga Khan – E came out on top becoming the joint lowest scorers amongst the group toppers.

Knockouts

With the KOs sorted, the bracket was as such that the top 8 teams were to face off against each other. The five group toppers alongside the next 3 best teams. The KO matches were held at Karachi United Stadium. The standings of the group toppers and runners-up were as follows –
