Encouraged by the role it played in reviving football in Karachi, Karachi United ambitiously took on a broader developmental role within Pakistan by establishinga Women’s Division in 2010. The initiative was taken by a trio of dedicated female players whose own ambitions were stymied by the problems that Pakistani politics, culture, and general quality of life present. Since then, Karachi United has fought, won, and lost many battles, but aims to eventually harness a team to compete on the international field, e.g. the FIFA Women’s World Cup. Karachi United resolves to work towards the wellbeing of the local women’s sports industry at large, while coaching women to play football, and evolve into leaders of tomorrow.
